Director Holly Simpson Costa, attended the Boston Conservatory music theatre program and graduated with a degree in education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She spent her formative years as a student of her mother, Sandra Philpott, at the Hazel Boone Studios. Holly has won numerous awards as a Tap and Jazz soloist and now serves as a judge for local and national dance competitions. She has taught dance and been an active member of the Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston for 20 years. Her performing credits include roles in “42nd Street” and “A Chorus Line” doing summer stock at the Falmouth Playhouse. Holly is proud to teach and choreograph for the Gold medal-winning Hazel Boone Dance Team.
Erica Limoncelli’s passion for dance started with Holly Rendle at the Atlantic Middle School Dance Theatre in Quincy where she first started performing and choreographing. She went on to further explore dance at Dean College where she graduated with high honors earning her BA. Erica has extensive training in modern, ballet, jazz, and hip hop as well as dance history, pedagogy, and dance composition. She has over 7 years of teaching experience primarily with the Quincy Public School system and private studios. Erica is a former member of Dean Dance Company, Kelley Donovan and Dancers, and Disney Cruise Lines. She currently performs with Rainbow Tribe in Boston.
Maggie McCarey, a junior at Northeastern University, returns to Hazel Boone Studios as an instructor after fourteen years of dancing as a student. Maggie began assistant teaching classes in 1998 and went on to teach from 2002-2004. She completed the DTCB Dance Teacher Training Course in 2004. Maggie was dance coach and team captain of the Fontbonne Academy Cheerleaders as well as Assistant Coach for the Canton High School Junior Varsity squad. Maggie currently dances with the Northeastern University Dance Company and continues to take various classes in the Boston area. She is honored to be teaching and choreographing for our Showcase Dancers this year.
